New Year, New Synthetic Fields! – Surface Renewal

For season 2026, the club will have the use of renewed synthetic surface! As of Jan 1st, the project is looking sharp and is on track to be completed late Feb or early March.

This project involves the renewal of the synthetic surface and upgrading the lighting infrastructure at Fields 2 and 3.

The synthetic surface renewal includes removal and replacement of the existing synthetic surface on a ‘like-for-like’ basis with the following key improvements:

  • Uplift and recycling of existing synthetic surface.
  • Removal of cricket pitch.
  • Base/subbase remediation (where required).
  • Installation of a new synthetic turf system using environmentally sustainable materials.
  • Perimeter kerb installation with grates at field entry gates to retain organic infill within the field of play.
  • New technical areas (player shelters) on the western side of the fields.

The sports lighting renewal utilises the existing poles and includes:

  • Removal of the existing sports lighting (lanterns).
  • Installation of new energy-efficient LED luminaires.
